01 I used to be known as Wonder Man. I used to be an Avenger. Back when that really meant something.02 The work of an actor isn't getting jobs. It's the craft.03 Everyone is tired of superheroes.04 I'm gonna need you to sign this to confirm you don't have superpowers.05 So shines a good deed in a naughty world.06 When we are born, we cry that we are come to this great stage of fools.07 Acting isn't a job. It's a calling.08 We are going to make the last movie on earth.09 There's a tradition in the theater of handing down your prop to the next generation.10 The real you isn't your condition.11 You were in love with the Vision, a plastic man who wanted to think he was human. Then you started getting interested in me. Why, Wanda?12 You made one mistake, Eric. I'm sure you thought it poetic to use us as your puppets, but we're Avengers. And Avengers will oppose you, to the bitter end, and beyond.13 Blast you, I have to do this! And if you still had a trace of my mind, my soul, in your lousy programming, you'd see that!14 I died a couple of times... then I was in a coma... later, I was inert and trapped in a tube for a couple of years... then I was trapped in Rogue for a while.15 And maybe what I'm telling you flies in the face of what you believe. But the Avengers are wrong.16 The idea of a group of super-powered persons gathering together and deciding what's best for the world is wrong.17 Tyrannus was right. There is power here, enough to eat me alive, but I'm not done yet.18 Acting is the sum of everything you've experienced.19 We are actors, Simon. We don't just play heroes. We define them on the stage.20 In this town, they want you to be a character. But I just want to be myself, even if I have these powers.
